Donald John MacKay MBE
We'd like to take the opportunity to congratulate Donald John Mackay of the Luskentyre Harris Tweed Company (six miles away on the west coast of Harris), who was included in the New Year's Honours List and awarded an MBE.
Donald John was recognised for his outstanding contribution to the Harris Tweed industry. He has been weaving for over 40 years and his craftsmanship and passion for this iconic cloth is reflected in the beautiful tweeds he designs and produces.
As our many satisfied customers will testify, we have always used Donald John's tweed for the majority of our men's and ladies' jackets and will be doubly honoured to continue doing so.
